Warning: Contains a lot of spoilers, so for those who haven't played the first chapter, be advised!
I just played the first chapter of "Bendy and the Ink Machine", and it was awesome! I think the concept of the game itself is pretty neat and I really like its characters (so far). I can't say who I favor more between Bendy and Boris because I really like both of them. I think Boris is neat because first of all, his chest is ripped open (which makes him look more menacing and spooky) and because he's a wolf, which are one of my favorite kinds of animal. And like Bendy because of his role in the game and he looks really spooky when he's revived by the Ink Machine.
Now, the atmosphere in the game isn't extremely spooky, but definitely gives me the chills a little, mainly because some parts of the building are darker than other parts and the ambience in the background has an eerie feel to it. It probably took me an hour to finish the chapter, but mainly because I had to find a bunch of items to power the ink machine and the one item I couldn't find was the wrench, but after going into Boris's room for the third time, I noticed something that was inside the ripped open part of him, and it was the wrench. xD Another thing I experienced throughout the chapter were the jumpscares. Now, these jumpscares aren't like the FNAF jumpscares or the Mama jumpscare in Tattletail, these ones are more like unexpected jumpscares that aren't really actual jumpscares (the last jumpscare is supposed to be a jumpscare though). The first three jumpscares I experienced were just simple objects popping out of nowhere. For instance, the first one was a simple wooden board that fell from the ceiling (which somehow scared the heck out of me xD), and the other two were random encounters with the Bendy cardboard cutouts, one was when I rounded a corner and the cutout was standing right infront of me (it wasn't there before), and the other was when I was walking down a hallway and at the end I saw a cutout peek around the corner and move back to its original position. The last jumpscare was when I was walking back to the ink machine and when I came to the entrance, revived Bendy came out of nowhere out of the ground and went back into the ground, which was covered in ink. But anyways, all in all I really enjoyed playing the first chapter of "Bendy and the Ink Machine" and I'm hyped for the upcoming chapter two as well.
Also, I'm going to start making animations and posters with Bendy and the game elements in SFM.
